SHERRY
I
was born a true Capricorn, in The Heights, Houston, Texas. As well as being a
twin, I was “the middle child,” the only girl, and strongheaded to a
fault. Although pink being my favorite color and liking to be a girly
girl, I am a tomboy at heart, bestowing my parents the responsibility of
keeping one step ahead of me to protect me from jumping from rooftops (trying
to fly), and either racing dirt bikes or my bicycle through ditches challenging
them with many less than girly girl injuries.
In an interesting turn
of events, I went from working in pathology to becoming a Legal
Secretary. Over a period of twenty-something years, I journeyed through
mastering many areas of law, loving every minute of it. I came to land an
upper administrative assistant position in what I realized to be a great oil
and gas company that offered me not only a means to financial success, but
landed me in the middle of a group of brilliant mentors, co-workers and friends
encouraging me to explore what I really wanted out of life.
Living
most of my life less than 2 miles from where I was born, having never been out
of the country and turning the page to yet another chapter in my life, I met
Jim, fell in love with him and his belief that not only are all things are
possible, but challenges are tools to guide us, if only we recognize and take
hold of them, allowing us to move our lives in new exciting directions. I too
now understand that anything, ANYTHING, is possible when we truly believe.
JIM
Born and raised in Southern California, he is the typical Pisces. His love of the water is evident between his surfing and diving, so sailing around the world just seems to be a natural fit.
Having now spent way too
many years at a desk working his way up the ladder to be the Director of
Projects and Materials Management for a large oil drilling company, he finally
decided enough is enough. It’s now time for some “Jimmy Time.”
He has taken his diving
to the level of Dive Master, which will allow how him to work and play doing
what he loves best…diving the world and getting paid for it.
One thing that he has
learned in his years of growing up, is that ANYTHING is Possible if you
BELIEVE.
